1 Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Google Account Data: When you sign in via Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We do not receive or store your Google password.
- Profile Preferences: Gender preference you select within the app (used for matching and pricing).
- Communications: If you contact our support team, we retain those communications to resolve your issue.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, time spent on the platform, and session duration.
- Device & Browser: IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, and language settings.
- Log Data: Server logs including timestamps, error reports, and referring URLs.
1.3 Payment Information
Important: Aaggu does not collect or store your payment card details. All payment processing is handled by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. We only receive transaction confirmation, your name, email, and a Razorpay order/payment ID.
1.4 Video and Chat
Aaggu does not record, store, or transmit your video streams to our servers. Video connections are established peer-to-peer. Text chat messages are ephemeral and are not stored after the session ends.
2 How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Service Delivery: To authenticate you, manage your account, and provide platform features.
- Premium Subscriptions: To process and verify payments, activate premium features, and manage subscription status.
- Platform Safety: To detect abuse, enforce our Terms and Conditions, and protect users.
- Analytics: To understand usage patterns and improve the product.
- Communications: To send transactional emails (e.g. payment confirmations). We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
- Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, court orders, or legal processes in India.
3 Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Aaggu uses cookies and similar technologies to operate and improve the platform.
Types of Cookies We Use
- Essential Cookies: Required for the platform to function (e.g. session management, authentication). Cannot be disabled.
- Analytics Cookies: Help us understand how users interact with the platform. These are anonymised where possible.
- Preference Cookies: Remember your settings and preferences between visits.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect platform functionality. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
4 Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Razorpay (Payment Processing): Your name and email are shared with Razorpay to process premium subscription payments. Razorpay's privacy policy applies to information they collect.
- Google (Authentication): Sign-in is handled via Google OAuth 2.0. We receive only the profile data you authorise.
- Hosting & Infrastructure: Our cloud infrastructure providers may process data in the course of operating our servers. All providers are contractually required to protect your data.
- Legal Obligations: We may disclose data to law enforcement or regulatory authorities when required by applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000.
We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
5 Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers located in India. We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit.
- Encrypted storage for sensitive account data.
- Access controls limiting who within our team can access your data.
- Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
While we take all reasonable steps to protect your data, no system is completely immune to security risks. We will notify you promptly in the event of a data breach that affects your information, as required by applicable law.
Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
6 Your Rights

7 Children's Privacy
Aaggu is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from persons under 18 years of age. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will immediately terminate the account and delete all associated data. 8 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or via a notice on the platform. Continued use of Aaggu after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
